Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal for the 3^rd time in five races. His victory gives Mclaren its 4^th win in five races.

Hamilton had his first Formular One victory in Montreal track in 2007 and again in 2010. He said “It’s been five years since I won here the first time, but it feels just as good, This was one of the most enjoyable races I’ve had. I couldn’t believe it when I was coming across the line. The feeling inside — it was an explosion.”

Formular One Championship has remained unpredictable this season. Hamilton is the 7^th winner in seven races this season. He leads with 88 points, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari 86 points and Vettel 85 points. He believes the trend will continue.

“We’ve got a win and 25 points, but we’ve only got a two-point lead, It’s incredible how close it is. I think it will stay that close throughout the year”

Romain Grosjean was second and Sauber’s sergio Perez came in 3^rd.   The  defending champion Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull took the 4^th, position.
