Filmmaker, Spike Lee has apologized to a couple; Eliane and David McClain. The couple had to leave their house after Lee retweeted their address as that of David Zimmerman.
The couple said although they have a son by name William George Zimmerman, who lived in the Sanford area in the mid-1990s, he is in no way related to George Zimmerman who on February 26 killed Trayvon.
The protest against the killing of Trayvon has reached washington. Bobby Rush a Democrat, representing chicago was thrown out the house for wearing a hoodie, the type of clothing that the youth was wearing the day he was killed on 26th of February.
As the protests
against the shooting death of Trayvon spreads across the United States of
America, President Obama has expressed sympathy for the parents of Trayvon, who
was short dead on February 26 in Sanford,Florida by a neighbor watch volunteer,
Sheriff Zimmerman, who said he was acting on self defense.
Obama, the
first African American President of the United States said “I can imagine what
these parents are going through, and when I think about this boy, I think about
my own kids; if had a son, he’d look like trayvon.” He promised to get to the
root of the matter. And called on the nation to do soul searching.
George Zimmerman has not been arrest since 26th Febraury he committed the crime. The officials became active on the case because of the increasing protests. The police head temporarily resigned his post on the 23 March. The ministry of Justice and the federal police (FBI) have started investigation.
