Bob Marley |
A
documentary movie on life of Reggae Icon, Bob Marley has been
released. The fim shows the beginning of his carrier to the time he
became an international star.
The
film also documented his performances and interviews done by close
family members and friends.
Artists
in Marley’s family and Macdonald worked together to produce the
film.
The
production of the movie was announced by producer, Scorsese in
February, 2008 and was intended to be released on 6 February 2010 to
concide with Marley’s 65th
birthday.
However,
Scorsese withdrew as a result of creative differences with Steve Bing
during editing of the film and was replaced by Jonathan Demme.
Jonathan
was also to be replaced by Kevin Macdonald who completed the
production of the film, Marley and was released in April 2012.

Bob
Marley was born as Robert Nesta “Bob” Marley on 6, February 1945
to Norval Sinclair Marley, a white jamaican and Cedella Booker
Marley, a black Jamaican. He died 11 May 1981.
Marley
was a singer, songwriter and musician. He was the guitarist and lead
singer for the ska, rocksteady and reggae band, Bob Marley and The
Wailers.
